Traditional vs Contemporary – Teen Printmaking Intensive

Printmaking has many traditional roots that can be easily translated into contemporary imagery. The class will review the use of traditional techniques in contemporary art making. Participants will take from these examples to create their own meaningful image. Teens in this class with be introduced to a variety of printmaking techniques and drawing practices as they prepare to create a project of their own design from start to finish. We will use Dremel tools, knives, gauges, wood and copper to create a suite of work.
All materials are included in the program cost.
Please bring a lunch for each day’s break.
Minimum age for participation is 12 years old.
