Painterly Printmaking combines the process of printmaking with the freehand of painting. The class will focus on Monotype printmaking and Collograph printmaking.
Monotype printmaking is direct painting onto a surface to create a print.
Collograph printmaking is collaging an image and making a print from this collage.
In the class, participants will learn about various types of printmaking, how to use an etching press, how to compose elements of a picture, and will produce a variety of completed pieces.
This class is designed for children ages 7-12 and runs Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
